1996 PhD in Mathematics for Economic Applications, Trieste University

Academic positions
1993-1998 Researcher, Faculty of Economics, Pavia University.
1998-2001 Associate Professor, Faculty of Economics, Ancona University.

Research Activity
Since 1990 Elena Molho has carried out research in mathematical analysis directly linked to applications in the field of economics. In particular, she has dedicated herself to the field of mathematic programming, where she has advanced the study of general convexity and vectoral optimization, focusing on solutions, scaling, stability and optimal solutions.

Elena has taught at Bocconi University, the Carlo Catteneo Libero Istituto Universitario in Castellanza (VA), the University of Ancona and the University of Pavia. Specifically, she has taught courses on mathematical methods for the PhD in Political Economy at the University of Ancona, for the Masters in Applied Econometrics at the University of Pavia, and for the “Quantitative Methods for Social and Economic Analysis” course as part of a collaboration between the Accademia dei Lincei, the University Institute for Advanced Students and European School of Advanced Students in Cooperation and Development at the University of Pavia. She currently teaches Theory of Decisions at the University of Insurbia (VA), and General Mathematics and Mathematics for Economic Dynamics at the University of Pavia.

Other Activities
Elena is a member of the Organizational Committee for the 8th International Symposium on “Generalized Convexity and Generalized Monotonicity”, held at Varese (4th-8th of July 2005)
She is also a referee for the following journals: Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications,
Optimization, Naval Research Logistics Quarterly, SIAM Journal on Optimization,
Mathematical Methods for Operations Research, Mathematical Reviews and European Journal of
Operations Research.
She is a Member of the Association for Applied Mathematics in the Social Sciences, the Mathematical Programming Society, and the Working Group on Generalized Convexity (WGGC).
